Estimate the lengths you will need for your decking by deciding how you want your decking layed. (You will also need to repeat this procedure for the frame material) |

Speak to your local decking supplier and find what are the stock lengths the decking and frame material comes in. |

Estimate the width of the saw blade you will be cutting the decking with (will be a few mm) this is known as 'Saw Kerf' |
